Compensation & logistics

Exact rates depend on location, role (chef/assistant/pastry), length and complexity.

We propose flexible contract options: freelance per mission, fixed-term placement (1–4 weeks), or long-term live-in role.

All terms are negotiated before assignment.

Typical mission types (examples)

  • Short villa weekends: 2–4 day assignments (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks).

  • Weekly villa residencies: 7–14 day placements.

  • Destination wedding weeks: multi-day service including rehearsal dinners, welcome drinks, wedding breakfast, post-wedding brunch.

  • Private family chefs: recurring weekly work in London households.

  • Event chef for intimate seated dinners (6–30 guests) : 1-2 day for food preparation and day of event.

Who are we looking for?

You should apply for our private chef jobs if you have:

  • Professional culinary training or equivalent experience (fine dining, Michelin, high-end restaurants or private chef background).

  • 3+ years’ experience cooking at a high standard in professional kitchens or private service.

  • Strong plating & finishing skills; confident with both classic French cooking technique and contemporary fusion approaches.

  • Excellent client-facing etiquette and discretion.

  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and multi-day placements.

  • Valid right to work in the UK, Europe, UAE or US (or ability to obtain legal work status for assignments abroad).

  • Clean DBS check or willingness to obtain one for private home placements.

We particularly welcome chefs with experience in: Afro-fusion, Portuguese coastal cuisine, French technique, pastry, plant-based fine dining, and luxury villa service.
