  • The skin of cantaloupe melons is rough, netted, and a vivid orange colour when ripe. Cantaloupe melons have a softer, delicately sweet flavour and texture but Honeydew melons are juicier with a sweeter, musky flavour and trace of tanginess.

Cantaloupes are a rich source of vitamin C, which supports a healthy immune system, helps to produce collagen, and has antioxidant properties. Cantaloupes contain beta-carotene, which the body transforms into vitamin A to support eye health. Water content in cantaloupes makes them a good source of hydration. The seeds are edible and may be dried for use as a snack.

  • The skin of honeydew melons is smooth and pale green. Honeydew melon is also a strong source of vitamin C, which has antioxidant and immune-stimulating properties. Honeydew melons, like cantaloupes, have a high water content that keeps you hydrated. Dietary fibre in honeydew melons, encourages good digestion.

Cantaloupe melons are best from June to September. Honeydew melons are also in season during summer .
