Watermelon

£25.00

Watermelon is a plant species in the family Cucurbitaceae, originating from West Africa. It is a highly cultivated fruit worldwide, having more than 1000 varieties from seedless to black rinded to yellow. Watermelon fruit is 92% water. Watermelon is also a rich source of citrulline, an amino acid that may improve exercise performance (such as weight lifting) and reduce muscle soreness. People also use L-citrulline for athletic performance, sickle cell disease and erectile dysfunction (ED).

Unlike some amino acids, L-citrulline isn't used to make protein, but it might help increase the other chemicals that the body needs to make protein. It might also help improve blood flow and reduce blood pressure.

In season Late spring around April from Spain, Iran, Morocco, Tunisia and Cyprus.
