Longan or rambutan is an hearty looking piece of fruit whose white flesh is comparable to lychee; The texture are similar but rambutan is sweeter, richer and creamier. Rambutan’s skin is not edible, the peel is made of flamboyant hair with yellow/orange tones. The fruit skin is green when not yet ripe and turn red when ready to be enjoyed. Discard or plant the seed inside before eating.

Rambutans is rich in vitamin B5, which plays an important role in helping our body convert food into energy. Vitamin B5 cannot be produced by your body therefore, it is important to consume 5mg every day via food source. Rambutan also contains a good amount of copper which plays a role in the proper growth and maintenance of various cells, including those of your bones, brain and heart.
